The kids at church love K’Nex and play with them weekly. When I saw this Ambulance Set, this paramedic knew it needed to go into an annual Foster Child Toy Drive donation box! When it arrived, though, the box (which was properly overpacked, so UPS can not be blamed) was crushed and had bits of scotch tape holding the flaps closed. The inner bag of parts looked intact, and since it was the day before the end of the Toy Drive, it got donated.
K’Nex sets build dexterity and spatial reasoning skills for kids, and when thrown into a large pile, build imagination and encourage sharing. The small pieces never (knock on wood) break, and the longer lengths can really take a beating! As long as the child is not going to choke on the small pieces, I would recommend this series for most any child! Just be sure all of the pieces are included.
